Jerry Helling is the President and Creative Director of Bernhardt Design. He has recently celebrated his 25th anniversary with the company that he has repositioned from a domestic manufacturer of traditional wood furniture to an international brand.
Helling has assembled an extraordinary creative team for Bernhardt Design including designers Ross Lovegrove, Yves Béhar, Fabien Baron, Christian Biecher, Jeffery Bernett, Arik Levy, Suzanne Trocmé, Jaime Hayon, Patrick Jouin, Christopher Ciccone, Patrick Norguet and Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance, to name a few.
Helling is best known for supporting design education and mentoring young designers. In 2014, he was elected as the first President of Be Original, an industry initiative committed to bringing awareness to the topic of original design by educating, informing and influencing designers, businesses and the greater public on the value of authentic design.
